solution in search of a problem?

my guess at what it does:

1. measure the pitch error for each string individually to calibrate
2. create an intonation table by analysing harmonic expansion

then while playing:

3. apply a fixed correction to each string using a pitch shifter (yuk!)

so the vibrato will be followed because there's always a fixed correction
(until you recalibrate)

but the AD converters will be super cheap (to run six of them of AA
batteries)
and also there's the garbage coming from the pitch shifter

neat trick, but you can just imagine fz's reaction :)
