Oooh, that Emu0404 looks exactly like what the doctor ordered. Thomann lists it at 118e. Nothing about Linux drivers, but I'll check.
On the other hand, the more expensive (155e) ESI Juli@ XTe claims to have Linux drivers so that may be a backup plan.
