What he said, the uzeus in the kit makes it dead simple. Also you can get an Ikea Rast($15) and drill in 6u of rack rails and mount the happy ending in there as well, it's the exact width. 

The only thing I think you have to watch out for with doepfer is that I have heard that some of their vca's (also mixers) can color the sound a bit.
