The heaviest part CPU wise being as usual the interface, GTK and KDE did a lot of work. It's way leeker that 2 years ago. And you can always use an even lighter desktop…

Right now I'm back into Fedora 14 after testing 12 last year, and they worked on it.

My issues on Ubuntu are mostly political/development oriented (unity stupidity, mix of very beta and rock solid without reason, lack of OOo/LO on the base install, and stupid licensing job on the go at cannonical)

Ubuntu studio was an overall good all creative studio, maybe it'll go in virtual somewhere… ;)

(does it show that I'm working at my corei7 future hackintosh? ;)
