OK, So first of all, a friend of mine (See below) played one yesterday
on an special einsturzende neubauten gig that took place yesterday. He
liked it, but found it hard to get started with. But then again he's not
a very rhythmical guy. I've asked him a more details, he's going to send
me a mail later...

So today I went to the regular EN gig in the AB in Brussels. It was, as
expected, one of the greatest gigs this year. (The pixies still rule the
ranking, and my guess is they will stay there for many years.)
'Headcleaner' and 'silence is sexy' were the highlights for me. But
overall it was incredibly good. The sound quality was outstanding (they
never played louder than 105dB, there was a display indicating the sound
level, very cool. I start to think that this reduced sound level, it's a
law thing in belgium, actually adds to the sound quality.). I did miss
some of my favourite songs, but you can't have it all.

Anyway, I met a friend I lost contact with more than 15 years ago,
during the gig. He told me that EN played a small intimate gig
yesterday. Only about 100 tickets were sold. Apparently they played 1
short set, showed a mov. and then jammed with the crowd. Everybody got a
'thing' to make sound with and under the supervision of EN jammed. How
cool can it get... My friend got a Hang into his hands, but he also
played on some of the real En instruments. Apparently, the result of the
jam even sounded nice. I've got the USB stick containing both gigs, will
look / listen to it now.

Cheers,
ToAd (still a little stressed from driving to Brussels. I got lost, and
that's not good in Brussels.)
