Developers _SHOULD_ make uninstalling scripts, there's the option,  
either they don't, or it's badly done, or the software is so sleek  
(the actual programm, one pref file, maybe one library/app support  
folder) that a newborn can trash them. note that I don't know if the  
said scripts are monsters in disguise or if it's the usual disrespect  
shwown by devs for end users*…

Trouble is that usually it's the really bloated installs that have  
messy scripts, Adobe is really BAD at them (really uninstall CS is a  
pleasure).

The fact it's not included as a service is a long old debate, I don't  
see the point as there's a feature in the common installer, it only  
needs working scripts
