Novation SL / Automap

Tony,
as Gert mentioned; we have together Novation products but  I got the  SL 37
Mk I( more keys than the SL 25 and 2 screens instead of one for the MK II
 :P) ...
Till now for my own point of view   Novation and Automap  work better for
Ableton than for Logic ... I don t know about Cubase and Sonar etc .

I m still using  automap 2.2 , I was quite exited about this feature when it
came out  but in real life,  it wasn t  what I expected, not really
interactive  specially in Logic ( as Gert said ) , this why I didn t update
to the third  version( plus I needed to pay for the upgrade !!!! ) ,and
also upgrade to  Logic 9 to get what It supposed to do at the first place
...

Now if you have already  Ableton 8 or Logic 9, Novation claims it work
perfectly but I doubt about it ( i m a paranoid dude ) ...
Check around different Music Forums, cause  I read that people getting
interference problems with cheap sound card as M- audio, for drivers  etc
... But I think you are using with Motu devices right  ?

All in all Novation is quite ok product for the price but about the software
thingy , don t expect at 100%  what they are claiming , cause you could be a
bit disappointed, now if it s working as they say it will serves you better
than your Nano key for sure :)
