Renaming busses in Live?

I haven't seen anything in Live where you can edit those IO port names. I agree that it must be frustrating if you have a lot of channels to deal with.

Subject: Renaming busses in Live?

I downloaded the demo of the new version of Live and once again I can't
believe the bus naming structure. I also can't believe I'm the only person
who finds this about the most asinine thing I've ever seen. I have a MOTU
24i, 24i/o, 308, and soon a 2408 mk3 in my studio. That's a bunch of I/O I
realize but I hate hardware mixers and I don't particularly like to patch.
So, when Live gives me "bus 1/2" etc, it has nothing to do with my system
layout. My favorite is that because they force you to use their mono or
stereo scheme, you are forced to wire you patchbays and/or IO to how they
view the bus structure. I love trying to figure out what "bus 54/55"
corresponds to. Why can't they just take the name from the driver *LIKE
EVERYONE ELSE WHO HAS EVER MADE A PIECE OF AUDIO SOFTWARE*. What a bunch of
dick-heads.

Anyhow, is there some way to rename these so at least they have meaning? I
swear I think I hate this software more with each passing version. It's
like it was designed expressly to piss me off. Fortunately, I know the
universe just doesn't give a crap enough about me to bother singling me out
for this kind of abuse.
