Actually the rule was slightly more complex that I enounced. We wanted 
people to be able to add a couple of samples if they wanted to but not 
too many, to force them to cope with a strict set. Since the original 
set was about 42k, we said you could only use 64K worth of samples total 
but we didn't want people to ditch the original set to gain space, hence 
the 'intact' part.

Apart from that, you could use all the tools piggy allows.
