303 demo

Hey all

 

Just did this for the AH boyz.  Every sound is 303, even the drums.  The
only effects/processing are:

 

1)       last note in the track has a delay because the ending was a little
severe

2)       the is a bus compressor doing about 3dB of work

 

Nothing special. For once, I did the audio in a few hours (unlike the
frickin video!)   It is NOT a punkdisco track!

This is what I then mentioned on AH.  My point is the these modified 303 are
not worth paying stupid money for!!

Anyway, my views are still the same. Whilst it is hopefully impressive to
hear a 303 making a Snare and Hit Hat etc sound, it really does not add too
much to what is already an almost perfect synth. A lot of the extra sounds
that you get out of a modified 303 (AcidLab/Beast/etc) are not unique; most
analogue synths could do these sounds and probably better! However, no other
synth sounds like a stock 303.

 

I would recommend these mods to anyone, but for me they only add a small
amount to the glorious little fella..
