I liked my 1010 as well. I had to sell it as my setup was growing and I 
needed more connections.

Nice. I don't think I have heard much TLAudio stuff.

Plugins are good these days for sure. I'm going the opposite route 
though. I've been using software EQ's for too long and I want a new 
color to my production.

Gear is getting ridiculously good these days.  Especially outboard with 
EQ's and comps, from big boards like SSL, API etc offering those modules 
in a rack.
Processing at that level will blend all your sounds together be it a 
Casio keyboard or your Moog and it will sound similar. Sort of like 
curry. You put your potatoes, chicken or what ever in a pot, add the 
curry and it tastes the same.
