All,

Anyone used/seen one of the megatar versions?

I'm thinking of getting one of these -
http://www.megatar.com/english/models/TrueTapper/Storm/storm.html

The reason for this is, that it seems to address my issues with the
chapman stick.
For example, it using tuning in 4ths, on both sides, nothing wierd, so
it'd be like gaining 8 extra strings on my bass. Their 'strap' for
supporting it doesn't rely on the player wearing a belt :-)

They also do a novax fanned fret system version -
http://www.megatar.com/english/models/ToneWeaver/toneweaver.html

which may also address some of the issues with lack of tone in the low
registers (as the strings are equally tensioned and different lengths).

The other thing is, the guy I spoke to (traktor) is really nice and very
helpfull, they also have a lead time of about 4 weeks on custom versions
with 7 days for delivery. Some of them they even keep in stock. So no 16
month wait and no messing around with no getting any information about
your order.

Oh, and finally, they're cheaper, a LOT cheaper.

Just wondering if anyone had any experience of these, the videos and
mp3's I've heard all sound great to my ears.

Paul
