Hey Micke

Defo research the Vyzor and make sure it works for you. They have REALLY
firked up the release of this editor. I went into the beta program in mid
(maybe early) 2006 and it is STILL not working correctly.

After too many delays, I stopped being involved. In the end, they even gave
up - they just drew an arbitrary line in the sand and said "this is now
version 1" and the stuff we were trying to get working, that release we will
call version 2...!

Why am I so miffed? Because, during the development it probably 95% worked
in Ableton Live. If I recall correctly, there were some issues with the
sequencer and patch recalls. They could not get it to work so they just
disabled it in Live. Live support will not come until version 2, despite it
once working(ish).

On the plus side, it is a gorgeous editor, probably one of the nicest I have
seen. But, I was only interested as it gave a VST front end and this is now
unlikely to happen (if their track record is anything to go by). I HATE
stand alone editors but as they go, the Vyzor is as nice as they come.

I don't know anything about the DSI editor but it certainly does not look as
nice.

Btw, the VST stuff works in other DAWs and when it did work in Live, it was
a scream having a VST Evo front end..

Sorry for the gloomy email.
