what's cooking?

July 4th, Independence Day here in the States.  Dependence Day I suppose in
the UK, it's a matter of perspective.

Anyhow, being a Southerner myself (Virginia), the 4th means tons of dead
meat in the smoker for *killer* BBQ.  I've got two whole pork shoulders for
pulling, 3 racks of ribs, and a brisket under a lovely cloud of hickory.  I
live in the city so my neighbors are all a little annoyed as they have been
dealing with the cloud of hickory since around 5am.  Mmmmmm, dead animals
and smoke, and beer and a bunch of rum.  I'm in heaven!
