oh man do I know what you are talking about. my wife and I went through
that last year. we had the added insult that when we bought our new home and
began a remodeling project (while still living in out old house) the market
was near peak. by the time the house was ready to be habitable and we had
to sell out old house, the market had tanked. it was really touch and go
there for a while and complete financial ruination was not out of the
question. luckily, it sort of sorted out and we got our old house sold for
good enough money to not get wrecked. good luck!

ps: once you get settled in, I have finally uncovered all the ultimate stand
a-frame bits we were talking about a while back!
